At Power Tools Plus we’re seeking a Customer Service Assistant to work as part of our Steel and Industrial Supplies team in our Cowra branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will play a vital role in our team, assisting customers with purchases, processing sales maintaining the store and yards.
Each day varies, with a broad customer base and product range. On-the-job product training will be provided and will cover steel, fencing, power tools, hand tools, fasteners, gas and Industrial Supplies.
The position involves manual labour. Whilst not essential, possession of a forklift and/or a truck license would be an advantage.
Duties include:
- Creating positive customer experiences
- Processing sales (cash and customer accounts)
- Offering product advice and assistance
- Sourcing, cutting and loading customer purchases, including steel
- Gas handling
- Answering phone and email enquiries
- Unloading and receiving stock deliveries
- Stock management including regular rolling stocktakes
- Maintaining store and yard safety, cleanliness and presentation
Requires:
- Manual handling experience
- Positive attitude
- Team player
- Computer and mobile technology skills
- Current driver’s license
- Ability to work Saturday mornings (fortnightly)
Desirable:
- Exposure to or experience in a trade
- Knowledge of tools
- Forklift licence
- MR heavy vehicle license
- Customer service skills
- Retail experience
