The Role:

We are seeking experienced Hydraulic / Fluid Power Service Technicians to join our Gladstone branch team to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Duties 

The key accountabilities include:

• Using testing equipment to diagnose, repair and maintain Fluid Power components and systems
• Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and Fluid Power equipment
• Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and Fluid Power equipment
• Diagnosing and recommending solutions to Fluid Power problems
• Identify and repair Fluid Power components such as pumps, cylinders, valves reservoirs, motors, accumulators, hose fittings and filters
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics
• Installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
• Ensure all work is completed to health, safety, environment and quality requirements
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including site owner representatives

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

To be successful the following knowledge and experience is required:

• A trade qualification as a fitter or equivalent with hydraulic experience
• Experience in hydraulic hose assemblies, tube manufacture and installation
• Formal Fluid Power post trade training or relevant industry experience would be highly regarded
• Have a high safety focus
• A current driver’s license
• Be able to pass pre employment medical
