Australian Hammer Supplies Hire is a family-owned company providing specialised rock breaking excavator mounted attachments and excavator hire solutions. Our fleet includes excavators, hydraulic hammers, augers, compaction plates, grabs, grinders, diamond blade rocksaws, and boasts the latest models from Atlas, Copco, Toku, Austramac and Digga.
We are located just off the M5 at Ingleburn and have recently moved into larger premises with a brand-new workshop fit out. Our team is also expanding, and we have a fantastic opportunity for multiple Hydraulic Technicians to join our team.
About the Role
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Hydraulic troubleshooting.
- Inspect and repair hydraulic hoses and fittings.
- Repair and install hydraulic circuits including tilt systems, quick hitch and hammer systems.
- Carry out refurbishments and fabrication work to excavator buckets and hydraulic attachments.
- Diagnose and carry out maintenance and repair work in accordance with instructions given on the repair order.
- Set and adjust flows and pressures on machinery.
- Read and interpret drawings and schematics.
- Carry out pre-hire inspections ensuring machines are completed and are as specified in the contractual requirements (including checking hose fittings).
- Complete all tasks as per supervisor’s written and verbal instructions.
- Complete work safely, ensuring all Safe Work and environmental requirements are being met.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure protective clothing is being used when required.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and measuring instruments are correctly calibrated.
- Tag out and notify your manager of any tools or instruments which are not working correctly.
- Ensure work areas and any issued work vehicles are kept clean and a safe environment is maintained.
- Ensure good time management is kept on all jobs and work carried out
- Complete all required electronic documents including a detailed description of work carried out and damages observed. Noting whether, the repair work is chargeable damage or is due to misuse from the customer. Add all parts used and attach photos.
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 years plus experience in the related field
- Strong problem solving/ troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong customer service focus
- Experience with quality control
Position Details
- Hourly Rate $38 to $45 per hour depending on skill and experience
- Work Type: Full time position
- Hours: 38 hours per week
- Location: Ingleburn
