About the Role:

The Student Support Services School Buy-in Team works in partnership with preschool and school leadership to develop tailored and accountable school-based allied health projects. As a member of this team, the School Based Senior Psychologist contributes contemporary psychology knowledge to school improvement planning.

This project-based position located at Open Access College utilizes advanced psychology expertise to contribute to school improvement planning and extends support across various waves of intervention. Position is responsible for leadership, coordination, and development of site-based approaches, focused on mental health, wellbeing, and learning. Additionally, the role involves capacity building, group interventions, and one on one assessment and intervention with children and young people.

Qualifications:

Essential: Current and full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Desirable: Area of practice endorsement – educational and developmental psychology and/or clinical psychology and/or counselling psychology and/or organisational psychology. Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor.

Special Conditions:

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:

AHP3 $104,180 - $111,746 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
