An exciting 12-month fixed term contract exists with our well-known client, for an iChris Systems Specialist.
This role combines technical proficiency with a deep understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements to support the efficient operation of the iChris payroll system and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Working closely with the business Payroll team, you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the iChris payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for Australian based employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Configuration and Administration:
- Manage the configuration and setup of the iChris payroll system, including employee profiles, payroll codes, tax settings, and deduction parameters
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data by performing regular audits, reconciliations, and data validations to identify and rectify discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing payroll processing, including tax withholding, reporting, and record-keeping requirements
- System Integration and Automation:
- Collaborate with the business to streamline payroll processes and workflows through system integrations with Kronos, SAP or any other software required
- Develop and implement automation scripts, workflows, or interfaces to facilitate data exchange and synchronization between the iChris payroll system and other applications
- Continuously evaluate and enhance system functionalities to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of payroll operations
- Technical Support and Training:
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of Chris21/HR21 systems, identifying and resolving issues in collaboration with development teams
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to payroll operations and end-users regarding system functionality, data queries, and reporting tools
- Develop and deliver training materials, user guides, and documentation to educate stakeholders on the use of the iChris payroll system and best practices for payroll administration
- Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll-related matters, offering guidance and expertise to ensure adherence to payroll policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Skills & Experience:
- 5 years + proven experience in payroll administration, payroll system management, or HRIS administration.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
- KRONOS Dimensions experience an advantage
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in iChris Payroll.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex payroll data, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
