The Role:
The position for hire is an ICT Business Analyst and will be for a full time basis at $80,000 per annum, and will be based at their Melbourne CBD office.

The Responsibilities:
Identify the business need, formulate solution approaches, delineate solution scope, and construct business cases for departments spanning Melbourne Metropolitan College's diverse offices.
Apply technical acumen and business analysis concepts to ascertain, assess, and articulate systems scope and objectives. This includes a profound understanding of Melbourne Metropolitan College's pertinent business practices, processes, systems, and industry standards to fulfill end-user requirements.
Utilize various business analysis techniques, such as brainstorming, focus groups, and gap analysis, to capture and elicit requirements aligned with the business needs across Melbourne Metropolitan College's various offices.
Plan, administer, and execute software testing, encompassing system and user acceptance testing, to ensure compliance with agreed functional and system requirements within Melbourne Metropolitan College's system framework.
Prepare 'Business Requirement' and detailed 'Functional Specification' or Solution documents, delineating relevant business and functional requirements with precision to facilitate accurate delivery of end solutions.
Conduct 'walk-throughs' of Business Requirements and detailed Functional Specifications with Melbourne Metropolitan College's office members and relevant business resources, ensuring organizational comprehension.
Identify and analyze existing systems, reviewing for efficiencies to integrate newly captured requirements.
Investigate and analyze business processes, procedures, and work practices, evaluating inefficiencies and proposing optimal business practices, system functionality, and behavior.
Recommend applications, software, and digital platforms for automation, addressing business process gaps within Melbourne Metropolitan College's enterprise architecture.
Translate conceptual user requirements into functional specifications, articulating them clearly and concisely for internal business solutions and Melbourne Metropolitan College's development team.
Engage relevant business and technical representatives across Melbourne Metropolitan College's various offices, ensuring collaboration and agreement where necessary.
Design process flows and take responsibility for deploying functional solutions, ensuring the acceptable quality and integrity of Melbourne Metropolitan College's system.
Create user and training documentation, conduct formal training classes across Melbourne Metropolitan College's various offices, and maintain and update business process documents regularly.
Serve as the organization’s representative to collect feedback post-project delivery/handover, concluding the formal handover of projects.
Support Melbourne Metropolitan College's executive management in establishing and developing the ICT team’s approach to delivering ICT solutions efficiently. Develop, communicate, and manage relevant project plans, ensuring identification, assignment of responsibility, and delivery date for all required tasks.

The Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 4 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the ICT sector.
At least 4 years’ familiarity with ICT systems, technologies, and processes.
At least 4 years’ experience in gathering and documenting business requirements.
At least 4 years’ experience in creating detailed business requirements documents, functional specifications, and other relevant documentation.
Proficient in programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Powershell, ShellScripting, Java, Rust, Go.
Certified Azure or AWS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze data, trends, and systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Understanding of ICT infrastructure, software development life cycle, and emerging technologies.
Familiarity with databases, network systems, and software applications.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
