The Role:
It's an exciting time to be joining Navantia Australia, one of Australia's leading companies in the Defence and Maritime Sustainment industry. Navantia Australia currently has an exciting opportunity for a ICT Service Desk Support to join the team out of its Docklands, Melbourne office
The ICT Service Desk is the central point of contact for all ICT related incidents and service requests. In the role you will provide user support and be responsible for first and second line support for all staff at Navantia Australia. Furthermore, you will be involved in the build and deployment of desktop equipment and produce documentation for first and second level support processes. You will be responsible for managing tickets in the “Australian” queue in the ticketing system, resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. Services are provided through the ticketing system, over the phone, e-mail, in person (for walk in customers) and self-service platforms.
There may be a requirement for some out of hours work and, with offices in Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney, for occasional interstate travel.
In this role, you will:
Develop ICT aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals.
Management of the Digital Transformation of business processes.
Cybersecurity: Develop & implement data protection processes and maintain the ISO accreditation.
Evaluating and implementing new systems and infrastructure.
Ensuring ICT are used efficiently and securely.
Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.
Monitor KPIs and ICT budgets to assess technological performance.
Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to ICT technology.
Point of Contact with Navantia Corporate for the ICT Corporate Strategy.
Work with the Chief Security Officer (CSO) in ongoing development of Information Security Strategies, Roadmaps, Policies, Standards, Procedures and Reporting requirements.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
Tertiary Qualifications - Computer Science bachelor’s degree or equivalent related to Information Technologies.
In-depth knowledge of IT systems and architecture
Strong experience and capability in leading ICT team and engaging with key stakeholders and teams.
Strong experience in ICT budgeting, recruiting, and business operations.
In-depth knowledge of data administration
Strong experience in operational maintenance of ICT tools.
Strong experience in Cybersecurity management.
Strong sustainable stakeholder and relationship skills.
Experience in the management of ICT vendors in the provision of ICT services.
Experience in Information Security standards / frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to operate with initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships at all levels of the business and clients.
Strong time management skills and ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
Australian Citizenship holding or eligible for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance
