Offered on a full time basis the role can be employed from Devonport of Launceston
Business Accountabilities:
As the ICT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the IT infrastructure and services to ensure seamless operations and optimal performance. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing IT resources including servers, routers, switches, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, etc., to ensure resilience, reliability, and security.
- Oversight of IS services such as server and desktop operating systems, Exchange & SQL Server maintenance, backup, and disaster recovery plans.
- Risk management to protect equipment and systems from internal and external threats.
- Ensuring compliance and accuracy of software licensing across all sites.
- Management of communication services including landlines, mobile, datacards, satellite, and internet.
- Providing troubleshooting advice and support to other IT staff and Managed Service Providers.
- Ensuring availability of help desk function to all users.
- Liaising with ICT colleagues at other sites for consistency and integration purposes.
- Regular review of cyber security risks and controls to improve protection.
- Planning and coordination of application implementation/upgrades.
- Collaboration with finance and procurement teams for budgeting and procurement.
- Documentation and enforcement of systems, policies, and procedures.
- Continual improvement process to identify pragmatic IT solutions.
- Empowering users to increase productivity and insight.
- Collaboration with data and analytics experts to improve data management and analysis.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Technical problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.
- Clear, confident, and effective communication.
- Business application and system knowledge (SAP B1 an advantage).
- Network design, implementation, and management (SD-WAN).
- Microsoft Server in on-premise and cloud environments.
- SQL Server and associated scheduling and reporting tools.
- Microsoft 365 and SMTP services.
- Microsoft PowerBI and Power Apps.
- Working knowledge of project management and accounting principles.
Experience:
- Minimum five years' commercial IT experience, including practical application of ITIL service management.
- Experience with Microsoft networking environments, data integration, analysis, and reporting services.
- Infrastructure systems management and low-code application development.
- Leadership experience with a track record of managing hybrid IT teams.
General:
- Understanding and promotion of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing policies.
- Leadership with a track record of managing a hybrid IT team of internal
