Be part of our dynamic IT Services team in this newly established, fulltime role as an ICT Support Officer. You'll play a crucial role in providing essential IT support across both our Senior and Junior School campuses, supporting our staff, students, and parents. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our team of ICT professionals and contribute to the expanding ICT landscape at our College.
About the role:
The ICT Support Officer provides quality ICT support and service, maintaining IT Services and assisting with Apple iPad management, system administration, and Helpdesk support. Collaborating within the IT team, this role troubleshoots and repairs hardware, software, and assists with daily computer laboratory operations. While based at Athelstone, flexibility is required to work at our Norwood campus.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist staff and students with ICT support and assistance.
- Develop procedures and guidelines to ensure optimal use of hardware and software applications.
- Monitor the performance of ICT hardware and software applications.
- Identify performance issues and report to IT Services Manager.
- Install and configure operating systems and applications.
- Coordinate the repair of hardware faults including the reporting, logging, and management of repairs of Apple iPads, desktops, laptops and other classroom technologies.
Essential requirements:
- A Certificate IV in Information Technology (or equivalent) and/or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role.
- Technically competent and well experienced with a broad knowledge base incorporating a range of theoretical concepts to provide professional ICT support, system and software set up and an adequate level of operating a variety of ICT equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Collaborative approach with staff members, students, and parents, demonstrating a commitment to and high standards of customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to locate, analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources and analyse and plan approaches to technical and related problems and apply solutions to a range of problems.
- Possess, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Child Check (WWCC) and, possess or be willing to obtain, a Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect-education & Care (RRHAN–EC) training.
