An opportunity exists to join the BCEO ITS Foundational Technology Team to support the increased demand from several projects underway. Reporting to the Team Leader – Foundation Technology you will be part of a team working across these technology domains including Server & Storage, Networks & Firewalls, Identity Management & Messaging, and Application Presentation technologies such as Active Directory, Azure services, Citrix, Exchange, F5, VMWare, Windows Server. The role is based at the Woolloongabba office with flexibility to work from an alternative location for up to 2-days per week.
About the role:
- Provide high level technical support in the delivery and operation of information systems and services provided to the Brisbane Catholic Education schools and office communities.
- Support and enhance the technologies and services provided by the Foundational Technology team across one or more domains.
- Work within a team of computer professionals supporting schools with their network and device management requirements.
- Provide solutions to complex technical problems
- Proactively share technical expertise and business knowledge within the team’s area of responsibility including documentation
About you: To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
- Tertiary qualifications (Degree or Diploma) in Information Technology
- Knowledge and experience working across various technologies including in particular VMWare, Windows System Administration experience would be highly regarded
- Ability to work with a team of IT professionals to plan, manage and deliver information services
- Provide information and report to management on technical issues
- Ability to communicate and work through technical issues with key stakeholders as they arise
- Undertake configuration tasks associated with the installation, maintenance and enhancement of technology in schools
- Currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card
