Your role:
Responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative support including assisting in the preparation of correspondence, briefing papers, reports and submissions ensuring effective correspondence flow, monitoring important issues and tracking for timely delivery.
- Maintain and update registers of business unit assets and participate in the yearly stocktake.
- Undertake financial activities and procurement including the creation of purchase orders, paying of invoices, and aligning expenses against the financial profile, while ensuring compliance with the State Purchasing Policy and ensuring collaborative consulting with line managers and Directors to develop and seek approval of expenditure.
- Document and maintain establishment and staffing profiles and assist staff with human resources queries including sourcing and researching directives and entitlements.
- Provide support in staffing, including recruitment and introduction of staff, undertaking leave auditing and reconciliations, and maintaining training and capability registers.
- Record minutes and document meeting actions and outcomes in a timely manner.
- Respond to general enquires from clients seeking assistance or redirect such enquires to the appropriate locations or officers.
- Liaise with other departmental officers at all levels and members of the public on a variety of matters pertaining to the branch's operations.
- Liaise, and maintain effective communications, with other Support Officers across the branch and department.
