The Opportunity
Our client is a large Diplomatic agency, with a focus on learning, centrally located in Canberra. This requirement is for an ICT Project Manager to join a small, energetic team working in the program office supporting the department’s capability uplift across a range of areas, for a 3-month contract.
All candidates applying for this position must be an Australian Citizen and have a current NV1 Security Clearance.
Key responsibilities include:
Reporting to the Section Director, responsibilities are at both project and program level and may include:
- Assist with the planning, delivery, monitoring and reporting of discrete projects in ICT and other specialist fields, including data management, business planning and learning and development.
- Convene project working groups, develop project plans in consultation with business areas, assist with, track and support implementation.
- Draft high-quality analysis, briefings, submissions, presentations, and other written material on progress of the implementation of initiatives.
- Provide secretariat support for the program, including through preparation of papers, meeting set-up, agenda preparation, minutes, dashboards, project updates, risks and issues reports and benefits realisation plans.
- Provide advice as required in relation to business processes, organisational change, industry best practice or innovative models for achieving outcomes.
- Work collaboratively to develop and draft communications and messaging, including through timely and accurate updates to the program’s intranet site.
- Liaise and coordinate with stakeholders in the department and across the APS.
- Actively work to transfer specialist subject matter and other knowledge to APS colleagues.
