Position tenure:  Continuing | Full Time

Weeks worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 38 hours per week - required to work Monday to Friday during term time. Additional weeks will be required to be worked during peak times. There is opportunity for this position to become full time as enrolments grow.

Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 4 - $35.90(School Salary Scale)

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement

Sophia College is a Catholic secondary school located in the Lockyer Valley, approximately 80kms west of Brisbane. About the Role:

The ideal ICT Officer will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining and enhancing the school's ICT platform. They should possess exceptional communication abilities to effectively assist staff and students, ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. A thorough understanding of administrative tasks, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability, will enable them to handle the dynamic challenges of a school environment. Additionally, a collaborative spirit and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential for success in this role.


To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
