The Information Technology (ICT) Services is a business unit of the Archdiocese of Hobart’s Shared Services.
ICT Services provide a range of information technology support, including: an ICT helpdesk, training and support for staff; advice on system, hardware and software purchases; network security; server upgrades; email and intranet maintenance and support; the design and installation of new systems; and the project management of major capital purchases and ICT infrastructure programs.
Located in New Town, the unit provides services on a state-wide basis to the Archdiocese, CatholicCare Tasmania, Parishes, Centacare Evolve Housing and St Joseph Affordable Homes.
We are currently searching for a fulltime ICT Systems Support Officer for a 12-month contract covering Parental Leave, reporting to the ICT Manager this role will provide ICT client and system support for users by providing technical support and troubleshooting for all aspects of computer hardware, network and software.
Key responsibilities include:
- Backup and replication Management
- Client and service desk support
- ICT asset inventory support and administration
- Systems and application support
- Documentation of procedures, processes, testing and system configurations
- Perform other ICT roles or work as requested by the ICT Manager
What can you bring to us?
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, information Technology or demonstrated relevant work experience.
- Sound technical knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Azure active directory
- Demonstrated written technical skills documenting planning, phase of work and results
- Aptitude and desire to provide responsive customer service
- Relevant IT technical certifications e.g. Networking, Microsoft/Azure Certifications. (desirable)
- Critical thinking and analysis of client and operational issues based in sound experience and knowledge
- Ability and willingness to undertake the relevant employee screening processes, including the provision of a National Police Criminal History Check satisfactory to the Archdiocese of Hobart and registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmania).
