Compas are looking for multiple Network Engineer’s to work on a long-term contract within a federal government department.

12-month contract with extensions
Must have a negative vetting 2 clearance minimum

Responsibilities

• Undertaking the management and administration of the CSD Red Hat / Linux server fleet environment.
• Patching and upgrading the existing Red Hat / Linux server fleet on a regular basis;
• Installing new Red Hat / Linux servers as required by BAU and ICT and business projects.
• Developing and updating ICT platform documentation;
• Responding timely to vulnerability notices patching the Red Hat / Linux server fleet as required.
• Developing, documenting and implementing a Red Hat Satellite infrastructure management solution to improve platform management and administration efficiency and security.
• Mentoring and transferring knowledge to other members of the CSD teams to achieve cross-skilling within the workforce.
• Managing multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, engaging in BAU and project activities as required.
