Your Opportunity
The role of an Identity Access Manager (IAM) involves managing risks that may arise during identity and access life cycle management process and ensures that the underlying capabilities of Privilege Access Management (PAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) are operating as an optimal service for SCG. The role will own the IAM controls for SCG and will ensure efficiency and effectiveness of these controls. Collaboration with application owners and assist the team with closing any opportunities to remove blockers as a point of escalation. Working closely with Cybersecurity and Tech Risk team, Platform Owners & Engineers Cyber Defence Team and wider teams in Technology and HR.
You will have overall accountability for:
- Manage the identity and access management capability for SCG which include Privilege Access
- Management and Identity Governance and Administration.
- Own and Lead the implementation SCG IAM (PAM & IGA) capability onboarding program with policies, process, procedures and tooling (PAM Tooling is Beyond Trust)
- Manage a growing team of IAM Engineers and Analysts
- Monitor compliance with policies, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Perform risk assessments and audits.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Train users on policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on evolving threats, technologies, and Identity solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure secure access to systems and data.
- Document processes and procedures for the IAM Capability
- Escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure the capability to administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls is being managed by the team
- Controls monitoring and effectiveness reporting for Executive Leadership and Peers
What will set you apart from the rest?
- A competent understanding of Privilege Access Management process and tooling fundamentals and service concepts
- A competent understanding of Identity Governance and Administration, processes and tooling concepts
- Able to recruit and develop people as a lead
- Communicate clearly and educate people on IAM concepts
- Understanding of Cyber Control standards such as ASD Essential 8 and CIS 18
- Understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO/IEC 27001/27002
- Focused on deepening understanding of technical learning
- Innovative thinking and challenging the current approach, seeking to understand and improve where possible
- Collaboration with technology teams and business teams to understand what the needs are from you space and capabilities that you are serving out to them.
