Form of workFragomen is looking to hire an Immigration Lawyer or Graduate to join our professional team in Brisbane, Australia.
Are you a recent law graduate, recently admitted to legal practice, or are you about to be admitted? Or, do you have specific immigration law experience you would like to build on?
Our fast-paced and tightly-geared team is looking for the right person with an interest in corporate immigration, with the level of role offered which will be commensurate with your experience.
As an Immigration Lawyer, you will demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Australian immigration law, regulations and policy, and ability to work on and support more senior members of the team on highly technical immigration matters. You will have the ability to provide legal immigration advice and experience in managing a caseload independently.
As a Graduate, you will receive comprehensive training to set you up for a career in corporate immigration law. You will have the opportunity to work in a global firm and to develop your legal acumen. Under supervision, you will have ownership of a caseload and be expected to proactively manage workflows with direct client contact. Working closely with our team of Immigration Lawyers, you will help to prepare and file visa applications that meet all legal requirements. You will draft legal documents and client correspondence, as well as being the day to day liaison with clients, assisting in client interviews, and completing legal research.
The role sits in a fast-paced, friendly legal team and requires a keen attention to detail. You will have a readiness to learn, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels. You will be supported by administrative staff, as well as experienced lawyers committed to your learning and development.
