Join a supportive and friendly team working together to make a real difference not only for the people we care for, but also each otherSouthern Cross Care QLD have an opportunity for you to join our SCCQ family as an Aged Care Worker in the role of a Personal Carer based at our Tarcoola Residential Aged Care Home in Tara, in the Western Downs region of Queensland. We currently have 3 full-time positions to fill immediately.Working under the direction of the Enrolled & Registered Nurses, as a Personal Carer you will be providing person centred, high quality care to our residents. You will demonstrate compassion, sensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to our residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting and other support services depending on the individual residents needs.What can Southern Cross Care Queensland offer you?Competitive pay rates as per Southern Cross Care (Qld) - Aged Care Enterprise Agreement 2021 with starting rate of $29.94/h and above with applicable loadings depending on qualifications and experience

To promote flexibility, variety and to allow you the opportunity to gain experience across multiple roles in the organisation, there may be an opportunity for you to work in other Aged Care Worker roles. Any additional role/s will be subject to appropriate training, and any request will be considered based on relative business needs. Additional roles may include Lifestyle, Catering Assistant/Cook and/or Domestic Assistant.What you will bring to the role?You will hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable)
Medication Assist Competency (desirable)
You will have an understanding of Aged Care and Residents rights and responsibilities
You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives
You will work well within a team environment and have a friendly approachable manner
Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
