  • Consultative role Monday-Friday
  • Experience in Palliative care and EoL
  • Work closely with Community Nurses, Multi-disciplinary team (Medical/OT/Social work/GP’s)
  • Proficient understanding and experience with EoL medications. (SD/Breakthroughs)
  • Required to support and give Palliative Care advise/support to Community Nurses

The Palliative CareRegistered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred care and work in collaboration with clients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes within a consultative model.Where You'll Be Working

  • Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality (Palliative Care), ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with clients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan, prioritise, negotiate and organise own work taking into account the impact on others to achieve results and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively and effectively with team members.
  • Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
