Project Overview: Restacking the Odds (RSTO)
Restacking the Odds (RSTO) is paving the way for a brighter future by championing equitable outcomes for children and families in their early years. With a focus on five key service strategies—antenatal care, sustained nurse home visiting, early childhood education and care, parenting programs, and the early years of school—RSTO is committed to enhancing children's health, development, and overall well-being. The innovative approach involves stacking these strategies, ensuring their simultaneous and continuous implementation through lead indicator data to maximise their impact.
Your Role: Implementation Manager
Are you a passionate advocate for improving outcomes for children in their formative years? We are looking for an Implementation Manager to join our dynamic team.
In collaboration with Logan Together, a Place-Based Initiative and RSTO partner, you will play a crucial role in co-designing and implementing prototype solutions for service providers and communities.
Your goal: to empower them to collect, report, and act on RSTO lead indicators independently.
The Implementation Manager will be based within backbone teams for an initial 12-month period, with the potential to extend and/or expand the positions into a second year.
Your responsibilities include:
  • Building Partnerships: Forge strong relationships with early years service providers, securing their commitment to co-develop and trial local approaches for using the RSTO framework
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Consult with service providers and the community to develop data dashboards tailored to local needs, supporting effective data-driven decision-making
  • Supporting Design: Assist in partner-led and evidence-informed design of interventions that leverage data collected through RSTO dashboards, aligning with the priorities of the Logan Together Roadmap and Collective Plan
  • Prototyping and Refinement: Co-design, implement, test, and refine supporting prototypes, paving the way for the expansion of RSTO to additional partners
  • Knowledge Sharing: Lead initiatives to share learnings with service providers and communities, contributing to broader RSTO strategy, research, and policy work
  • Industry Engagement: Stay abreast of sector-wide news, build relationships with key players, and champion the broader implementation of RSTO
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Contribute to monitoring and evaluation efforts, offering insights based on key learnings in the community and with service providers
  • Scaling Strategies: Participate in discussions on scaling the RSTO framework and prototypes to other communities and service providers, identifying opportunities for specific research projects
  • Project Scope: Undertake additional activities within the project scope and contribute to the project's success.
About you:
  • 5+ years experience working in or with the early years sector
  • Relevant experience in co-design, community engagement or participatory action research projects
  • Passion for improving outcomes for children and families
  • Interdisciplinary background with experience in data analysis and interpersonal skills
  • Curious mindset with a can-do attitude and the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Adaptability and tenacity to succeed in dynamic environments
  • Commitment to collective learning and shared decision-making
  • Understanding and commitment to First Nations First Ethical Research principles
Special requirements
  • Possession of a current driver’s license
  • Possession of or access to a reliable car
