The Role
- Manage all aspects of Import Freight functions from order management through to final delivery
- Administering import data to ensure efficiency, accuracy and speed in order to process shipments in a prompt manner
- Lodge specific customs data for automation upload requirements to ensure efficient shipment release times
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as customs and transport companies to ensure no delays in shipment delivery
- Complete all invoicing related functions within required time frames
- Experience in Import Freight Operations in freight forwarding is mandatory
- Competency in using industry software programs including the ability to assess and interpret data provided electronically
- Ability to work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Ability to effectively interact with all internal/external stakeholders to facilitate professional movement of all shipments
- Focused on ensuring compliance & adhering to operational regulations
- Customer and solutions focused with ability to prioritise and time-manage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
