We currently have a vacancy for a newly created Senior Import & Export Operations role based at our Parramatta Office.
About the role:
Reporting to the General Manager, your day-to-day duties will involve performing end-to-end freight forwarding operations and developing and maintaining relationships with our clients and service providers.
Key responsibilities:
- Registration of sea and air freight jobs
- Liaising with shipping and air lines, forwarders and clients regarding shipment details
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to coordinate the movement of goods from origin to destination.
- Liaising with Custom Brokers regarding clearance and status
- Track shipments to ensure on-time delivery/accurate updates to customers.
- Interaction with overseas agents
- Arranging and coordinating Transport
- Creating invoices
- Providing customer service to both internal and external customers
- Actively provide training and guidance where required to your peers and direct reports.
- Other administrative tasks as required by your Manager.
About you:
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- 3+ years Freight Forwarding Industry experience.
- Comprehensive experience in CargoWise
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good time management, reliability, organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
- Good verbal and written Communication skills
