We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional for the position of Import/Export Operations Officer to join our thriving operations department.
Role: Import/Export Operations Officer
Location: Melbourne (Williamstown North) VIC / Opportunities also available in our Brisbane QLD office!
Responsibilities:
- Manage import and export shipments from initiation to completion, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics operations.
- Demonstrate expertise in customs procedures, cartage, and coordination of sea and air freight activities.
- Utilize excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) to liaise with clients, overseas agents, suppliers, and internal teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in Import/Export Operations within the freight forwarding industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian customs, cartage processes, and various modes of freight transportation.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to facilitate daily tasks and reporting.
Highly Advantageous:
- Mandarin/Cantonese Language: Proficiency in Mandarin is highly advantageous, as it will enhance our ability to serve a diverse range of clients and partners.
