The Role
Reporting to the HSEC Manager this role will see you responsible for managing emergency preparedness for Phosphate Hill operations.
You will deliver and personally contribute to:
- Provide advice to Phosphate Hill personnel on emergency management matters and training requirements.
- Manage the development and maintenance of Crisis Management and Recovery preparedness plan and procedures
- Leading the response to emergencies on site
- Training the Emergency Response team
- Drug and alcohol testing
What you’ll bring
Ideally you will have worked in a similar role before within a mining or chemical manufacturing environment. Other desirable skills and experience include:
- You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
- Certificate IV in Mine Rescue or equivalent
- Confined space and working at heights tickets
- Experience in firefighting and chemical spill response
- Experienced with Working at Heights and Confined Space setups
- Vertical rescue experience would be desirable

Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland.
