Job Description:
We are looking for reliable honest Support Workers with a proven experience background in mental health to join our team.
Your role will involve assisting participants with ongoing support to help them achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting participants to perform important daily activities.
- Facilitating assistance with personal care, fostering independence and self-care skills.
- Preparing home based tasks such as meal preparation and general housework.
- Community participation: encourage and facilitate community engagement and social activities to ensure client inclusion and interaction.
- Documentation: Accurately record participant progress notes, incidents and achievements.
- Mental Health Support: offer empathetic and understanding to support participants dealing with mental health challenges
Qualifications/Requirements:
- ABN
- Current NDIS Worker Screening
- First Aid Certificate
- Insurance - Public Liability & Professional Indemnity
- Driver's license and comprehensive car insurance
- Relevant qualifications in disability support/mental health (preferred but not mandatory if previous experience).
Experience:
- Experience working with participants with mental illness (preferably six months).
- Ability to provide individualized support to participants with mental health disability.
- Demonstrated continuing professional development.
- Supporting participants in personal care, particularly hygiene practices.
