Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and culturally sensitive Indigenous Liaison Officer to work within our office in Broome, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and strengthening relationships between Job Pathways and external stakeholders, with a particular focus on job seeker engagement.

Responsibilities:
- Supporting the development of strong relationships with job seekers, community members, including elders, businesses and industry.
- Supporting job seekers to navigate barriers to employment, through providing mentoring during 1:1 and group support sessions.
- Attending relevant reference group meetings and provide feedback to Job Pathways on opportunities and concerns arising from meetings.
- Provide timely reports to the Employment Consultants and Management as applicable to the role, such as outcomes of key meetings, mentoring support, and/or events.
Mandatory Experience:
- Experience in a community liaison or advocacy role, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate, mentor and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people
- Ability to support the planning, delivery and organisation of presentations for a diverse client group.
- Ability to support productive working relationships through building and sustaining positive relationships and providing prompt and professional service to internal and external clients.
Essential qualifications:
- A current C class motor vehicle license.
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
