Impact you will have in this role
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer as the Individual Giving Manager you will oversee and shape the strategy, vision, and success of ChildFund’s Individual Giving program.
We are searching for an influential and innovative leader with proven success achieving outcomes, as this is a senior leadership opportunity that will play a significant part in the development and execution of ChildFund’s transformational diversification strategy across the Individual Giving portfolio.
This person will dive deep into metrics, analytics, and data, and will set the team’s strategic approach to acquiring and moving donors through an inspirational and meaningful supporter journey, building a loyal and continually committed community of donors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Individual Giving team of 6 to develop, optimise and grow the Individual Giving strategy across multiple channels to drive revenue growth, flourish the donor journey and build the pipeline for future diversified opportunities
- Inspire, coach and develop the Individual Giving team, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training, development and maintaining an engaged and collaborative team culture
- Develop strategies designed to cultivate successful relationships with donors and to achieve income targets
- Drive the Individual Giving acquisition, solicitation and retention activities, leading and delivering consistent and significant growth fundraising outcomes across all IG and RG campaigns
- Manage income and expenditure budgets and forecasts for all Individual Giving programs, making data-driven decisions and communicating outcomes
- Strategise and implement multi-channel marketing plans for multiple yearly appeals across all channels
- Productively and positively engage with key internal stakeholders, including Marketing and Communications and the Executive Team, to ensure a coordinated approach to fundraising
- Be an active part of a dedicated Fundraising leadership team who are inspired to continuously impact programs that protect, educate, and empower children and young people.
- Previous experience and success leading and inspiring a team to diversify and grow an Individual Giving program across digital and multi-channel campaigns
- Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing donor acquisition, retention and stewardship strategies and activities that meet fundraising goals
- Exceptional leadership qualities, with the ability to nurture and inspire a team to collaborate and meet goals on a journey to success
- A data-driven mindset, with the ability to make data-driven decisions, combined with a strong analytical ability for reporting purposes
- Ability to bring innovation and best fundraising practices into operation
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects with well-developed analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillset
- Ability to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders and enthusiasm in speaking directly with people to support successful fundraising programs at a senior management level
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability
