The Role  

TasTAFE is in search of candidates with extensive workplace experience who are eager to share their expertise with the next generation of support workers. Successful applicants typically possess minor management experience and a wealth of knowledge ready to impart. While technological proficiency, particularly with learner and client management systems, is highly valued, it is not essential in being considered for the role. Please note that this opportunity is a Teaching position – to educate our next generation of Disability and Aged Care Workers. The Important Info  

  • This role is a part-time permanent opportunity, up to 60 hour per FN  
  • To be considered for this role you have had to have worked full-time for a minimum of five years in Aged Care or Disability; with experience in direct support across a range of experiences.
  • Hold at minimum the Certificate III in either Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or Diploma in Community Support, or equivalent.

About You 

In addition to established knowledge and practical experience across a broad range of  support roles in aged care and disability, you should also have the below key attributes outlined in your cover letter.

Essential Requirements 

  • If you’re successful, you’ll need to provide a current registration to work with vulnerable people in Tasmania before you start the role. 

The following requirements as detailed in the Australian Skills Quality Authority Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 are essential to be considered for this role.

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Equivalent 

OR 

The equivalent of the above – refer to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
