The Position
An exciting casual opportunity (20 hours per week) has become available for an experienced Trainer and Assessor to join the vibrant and welcoming team in Hobart. Delivering Certificate III in Individual Support to a cohort of students in traineeships, you will be required to train, assess and support students who are studying both on site, at work and online.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop individualised training plans for students
- Deliver all aspects of accredited training and assessment in accordance with Standards for RTO's and the Australian Qualifications Framework specifications.
- Apply a broad range of communication styles and methods to ensure effective understanding of diverse clients in the training program.
- Train, assess and support students throughout the course and also whilst at work
- Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Work with other Aged Care and disability organizations to assist students
The Successful Applicant
- Hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
- Certificate III Aged Care/Disability or Individual Support (or high qualification as an RN)
- Demonstrated experience delivering training and assessment in this field
- Recent experience in the Aged Care/Disability industries
- COVID-19 and current Influenza Vaccination
Applicants must have the ability to complete a Police Check, hold a current Working With Children or Vulnerable People, current NDIS Worker Screening and have a current Driver's Licence.
