Equinox College is a family owned and operated RTO specialising in the Community Services sector.
To support our growth, we are looking for an Aged Care/Disability Trainer/Assessor.
The current position on offer is:
- 8 month fixed-term, part-time role commencing in April 2024
- located at West End, with occasional travel to Morayfield
- 2.5 days per week, (Wed,Thur, half-day Fri)
- 20 hours per week
- This role does have the possibility of extension. There is also the possibility of additional hours within the organisation as they arise.
The role
The role on offer is for a highly motivated professional, who can work with us to deliver high quality training and an exceptional student experience.
Ideally the successful applicant is qualified to deliver both the ageing and the disability specialisations of the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support.
The main duties will be to:
- Deliver training via face-to-face classroom sessions
- Assess students via practical assessments and written assessments
- Mark, manage and maintain student assessments in a timely manner
- Liaise with the Administration team to ensure student records are up to date
Requirements:
At a minimum, you must be able to provide us a:
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or predecessor), or currently working towards attaining.
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (or predecessor)
- A clear and current National Police Clearance
You musthave:
- Current industry experience in ageing or disability supports (min of 2 years experience
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including people with English as their second language
You shouldhave:
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Recent VET experience however we are willing to consider a person with an interest in training and is willing to immediately commence the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- The ability and passion to engage the class and draw on own experiences to provide students with a rich learning experience
- Computer skills with the ability to learn new software packages
