Rossco’s Site Servicing (RSS) Abrasive Blasting division is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and hardworking Blaster/painter to join our friendly team. Based in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane, RSS delivers tailored solutions to the quarrying, mining and recycling industries, across the Australian Eastern Coast.
This position, involving abrasive blasting of fixed and mobile assets and the application of protective coatings, is a casual position (which may involve full time hours) and has the capacity to advance to fulltime.

In this site-based role you will:
- Remove paint, rust, and other material build-ups from rough surfaces which will involve surface preparation using specialised equipment that sprays abrasive materials.
- Undertake protective coating refurbishment to a strict specification
- Perform other tasks relative to industrial painting and blasting
- Have input into the co-ordination of blasting & painting activities
- Operate various types of equipment such as blast pots and spray guns.

- Completing work within time frames and schedules
- Safe use of power, hand tools and equipment
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment
Licence/Certification:
- Trade qualified (highly desirable) –Cert III in Surface Preparation & Coating Applications, Industrial Painting and Blasting, Panel Beating / Spray Painting or equivalent.
- Working at Heights (Preferred)
- Confined Space Entry (Preferred)
To be successful:
- Have the physical ability to undertake the key responsibilities of this physically demanding position, safely and with quality outcomes
- Be able to understand and complete works to specifications
- Have proven industrial painting & blasting experience
- Own transport and valid driver's licence
- Outstanding attitude and work ethic
- Previous experience working on Mining Equipment (highly regarded)
- Have strong safety awareness, with an ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
