As the Industrial Designer you would be involved in generating designs for metal stamping press tools, moulds and extruding dies for plastic parts, smaller pneumatically operated tools as well as jigs and other mechanical devices.
What we are you looking for:
- Confident and competent in the use of Solidworks.
- Effective communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of how basic mechanical functions work.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and comfortable working in a small team environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-driven and comfortable discussing design concepts with toolmakers.
This is permanent position that will allow you to gain valuable experience in the understanding of how tooling for metal stamped parts work and how to design tools that can be manufactured efficiently in a modern Toolroom. Working alongside our engineers you will be provided with support, guidance and training if required.
