Job Purpose:
The major responsibility of this position is to manage and co-ordinate the plants electrical and automation systems to deliver maintenance and engineering support for the plant and its production managers. This role will be the primary electrical coordinator on site and will ensure all the electrical systems comply with the relevant standards and codes.
The electrical and automation coordinator continually develops the maintenance function to deliver plant reliability with safety, quality and budget accountability. This requires strong leadership and management of contractors, clear communication skills with strong technical understanding of plant operational conditions.
The Electrical and automation coordinator is faced with many challenges involving short & long term goals within a fast paced, highly technical plant. Challenges will include balancing overall company priorities and reliability plans alongside potentially competing and conflicting site priorities.
What do we require from you?
- Electrical Cert 3 with 3-5 years experience in manufacturing industrial environment.
- PLC and CMMS experience preferred or willingness to learn these and highly developed computer skills
- Project Management experience preferred
- Ability to collect and analyse data, prepare technical reports, confidently communicate at maintenance and management meetings.
