Status: Full Time Permanent
Salary/ Hourly rate: Hourly Rate will depend on experience and qualifications: $51.9050 - $58.7325 plus 11% superannuation
About the Role:
NCN Health have an exciting opportunity for an Infection Control Coordinator to join our team in Infection Control across NCN Health.
The role of the Infection Control Coordinator to provide oversight, consultation and to implement the facility wide Infection Prevention and Control Program, to ensure the facilitation of a safe environment for patients, residents, staff, visitors, volunteers and the community.
This will be achieved by the ensuring the relevant national and state standards and guidelines are adhered to by the organisation.
What we are looking for:
- Post graduate certificate or diploma in Infection Control, or the commitment to obtain such within 12 months of appointment
- Previous experience in an Infection Control nurse role and/or sound knowledge of Infection Control requirements in a rural health setting
- A current Drivers Licence
- Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate Infection Control plans and programs
- Ability to analyse clinical data and surveillance outcomes to promote and minimise infection risk to patients, residents, staff and the community
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate across a diverse range of health professional occupations
- Excellent verbal and written reporting ability
- Computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheets and database programs
