Tallangatta Health Service (THS) is seeking a passionate and consumer focused Registered Nurse to join our Health Service as the Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator (IPCC).
Working collaboratively with the THS Leadership team, this position ensures best practice in infection control throughout the Health Service, thereby ensuring that the risk of consumers and staff acquiring infection, is minimised.
This rewarding role will also see you responsible for; providing clinical education, information and orientation regarding infection control to staff; participating in the development, interpretation and implementation of policy relating to Infection Control, and more.
This is a permanent, part time (0.4 eft /32 hours f/t) opportunity.
Selection Criteria
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated knowledge of infection control principles
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge and commitment to Quality Management & Accreditation processes
- Commitment to the THS Vision and Values
- Completion of ACIPC Foundations of Infection Prevention and Control (Foundations of IPC) or willing to work toward.
