You will guide Mackay HHS to adopt a continuous, proactive approach to the assessment, implementation and review of our Information Security risks and controls in the context of evolving security threats and vulnerabilities and develop a mature, comprehensive approach to Information Security across our whole IM/Information Communication and Technology environment.
You will provide specialist expertise and guidance in relation to Information Security in the context of the Mackay HHS IM/ Information Communication and Technology environment; ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards; assess potential threats, vulnerabilities and risks; lead the design and implementation of appropriate controls, processes and technical solutions; investigate and respond to security incidents at an operational level.
About the Team
The Information Communication and Technology Department is a team of predominantly technical staff working closely with the Digital and Information Management teams to provide advice and support to optimise patient care through the use of a contemporary Health Care environment.

The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
