Infrastructure Engineer | Western Sydney

An exciting new opportunity is available for an Infrastructure Engineer at a Leading Australian Healthcare Provider. This is a permanent position, located in Western Sydney and offers a dynamic, collaborative working environment.
Your new role
You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the technology infrastructure landscape and tools that support our organisation. This role is instrumental in providing technical support and improvements, project execution as well as mentoring and coaching junior members of our technology support team.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience supporting a mid-sized IT environment across a wide range of technologies.
- Proficient in managing M365 and O365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
- Proven track record in managing Active Directory (users, policies etc.) and comprehensive understanding of its architecture.
- Knowledge and experience in Cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) using Microsoft Entra ID.
- Familiarity with IAM concepts (role-based access control, identity lifecycle management). Experience with Intune and/or other mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint security.
- Proficient in deploying and managing MS Azure services.
- Sound knowledge of security technologies and principles such as next generation firewalls, content security, Zero Trust principles, SASE, SD-WAN, MDR/NDR.
- Strong networking skills, including LAN and WAN technologies, services, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for endpoint protection.
- Understanding of Zero Trust principles (least privilege access, continuous authentication).
- Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in Cybersecurity best practice.
- Proven and significant experience in a large complex ICT environment.
