The opportunity:
Our Inhouse Legal Team are currently seeking to recruit a Corporate Lawyer to the team based in our Rhodes Office. Reporting to the General responsible for providing legal support and advice as part of the Legal Team to the wider Frasers Property Australia business in the provision of services that assist the company with asset management and delivering property developments across their full lifecycle.
As the successful applicant, some of your responsibilities include:
- Assist with acquisitions, joint ventures, and disposals
- Negotiate confidentiality and exclusivity agreements, term sheets and letters of offer
- Review and negotiate construction, consultancy, supply and property management agreements
- Advise on marketing issues and review materials
- Manage sales contracts and external conveyancers
- Reviewing commercial and retail leases and AFLs
- Liaising with internal and external groups around taxation, FIRB, insurance and other regulatory matters
- Assisting with post-completion issues and disputes
- Manage internal approval processes and precedents
- Provide legal knowledge updates and research assistance.
- Collaborate with external legal advisors for timely advice
You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a current practising certificate
- A minimum of 7 years PQE in Property Development / Real Estate obtained in mid to top tier law firm or in-house environment
- Experience with construction and design contracts and consultancy agreements highly advantageous
- Demonstrated knowledge of development related disputes and litigation will be desirable
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- High developed commercial acumen
