What you'll do:
As a Workers Compensation and Injury Management Lead, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of our client's organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and advice to ensure consistent practices across all levels. You will also be tasked with creating a robust capability framework that defines desired capabilities, fostering professional development and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will take ownership of data and metrics, translating complex information into actionable insights. Your ability to lead or participate in projects as required will further enhance your contribution to the organisation.
* Provide technical expertise, advice and strategy to team members ensuring consistent practices and best outcomes at individual claim level
* Create and maintain a capability framework for Injury Management professionals
* Plan and coordinate regular cadence for claims reviews
* Lead talent planning and succession strategies
* Own the approach to data and metrics, creating the source of truth for workers' compensation and Injury Management data
* Translate data into actionable insights working cross-functionally with teams to identify opportunities surfaced in our data
* Lead or participate in projects as required
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Lead position brings a wealth of experience in workers' compensation and Injury Management. With at least five years under your belt, you have honed your skills in claims management from end-to-end. Your excellent knowledge of legislation and regulations for each jurisdiction will be invaluable in this role. You are an outstanding communicator, able to support team members with their drafting and communication skills. Your understanding of capability frameworks, development planning, and talent frameworks will enable you to coach and train others effectively. Your ability to gather, collate, and analyse data to generate meaningful insights will be crucial in this role.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in the field of workers' compensation and Injury Management, specifically in claims management end-to-end
* Excellent working knowledge of legislation and regulations for each jurisdiction
* Outstanding communication skills, particularly written - can support team members with their drafting and communications skills
* Understanding of capability frameworks, development planning, talent frameworks adept at coaching and training others
* Ability to gather, collate and analyse data to generate meaningful insights - data visualisation is a bonus
* Project management skills - able to lead projects but also able to contribute as a member of a project team
