About the opportunity
IFYS has a new opportunity for an Injury Management Coordinator to join our People & Culture Team. Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, this role is responsible for the coordination of Injury Management services for IFYS employees with work related and non-work-related injuries across a geographically dispersed organisation. This role will also assist in improving safety more broadly and assist in projects and identifying areas to improve IFYS’ safety culture.

Responsibilities of the role:
- Provide support and guidance to managers and employees in supporting injured employees.
- Reviewing safety data to identify and implement measures to improve IFYS’ safety culture.
- Manage workers compensation claims, including communication with insurer, Workcover QLD and injured employees.
- Work with treating medical practitioners, internal stakeholders and the injured employee to develop, monitor and review suitable duties plans.
- Assist in incident investigation.
Requirements for the role:
- Previous Injury Management experience
- Return to Work Coordinator Certificate (desirable)
- Knowledge of the Queensland workers compensation system and associated legislation
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful:
- QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2)
- National Crime Check (A new check will be completed through IFYS systems)
