Job description

The role:
  • Undertake allocated duties associated with Workers Compensation and Injury Management including:
  • Accurate, efficient, and effective processing of transactions specifically relating to workers compensation.
  • Accurately interpret and apply award, legislation and Government/Departmental policies, and procedures.
  • Provide advice to managers and employees on Injury Management issues including compensable and non- compensable injuries and illnesses.
  • Undertake research, investigate queries, and prepare written material including drafting correspondence, submission, briefings, and reports as required.
  • Liaise and consult with external stakeholders including Office of the Solicitor General, Fund Administration Agent and other Government Agencies in relation to workers compensation and Injury Management administrative operations, processes, and activities.

We are a values based team who work collaboratively with workers and business units to provide a responsive, contemporary, inclusive approach to assisting workers recover from injury.
The working environment is largely office based but may require occasional intrastate travel.
Details of Appointment
Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location: Hobart, Tasmania
Salary: $79,529 to $91,517 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:

  • Appropriate qualifications with an understanding of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988
  • Current Driver's License

  • serious drug offences
  • crimes involving dishonesty
