We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Innovation Services Team Leader at our Perth CBD Office, on a Full-Time permanent basis.
About this role
As the Innovation Services Team Leader you will lead a multi-disciplinary team who delivery Innovation Services across Western Power business units. The team provides specialist capability and tools to enable the business to identify, develop, test and prove innovative ideas to enable Western Power's strategy. The team works closely with our Technology and Innovation colleagues to bring to life solutions.
This position will be responsible for:
- Identifying innovation opportunities and managing them through our innovation funnel.
- Support the business to plan, develop and execute initiatives and provide advice to project teams.
- Anticipate and advise on the effective management of project risks, stakeholders, impacts, communications and resource planning, and timely resolution of issues.
- Provide subject matter leadership, coaching, training, and support on innovation and change initiatives to build Western Power's innovation maturity and capability.
- Lead, mentor and motivate a specialist team of professionals to ensure the team provides the right level of support to the business regarding innovation.
- Developing and maintaining tools and templates as per Innovation Services' service catalogue and contribute to ensuring the services reflect emerging innovation practice and respond to Western Power's unique business needs.
- Develop team members through effective execution of our employee performance system and processes.
About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Human Resources, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent discipline.
- Sound experience and industry knowledge leading organisation wide change initiatives
- High degree of emotional intelligence, resilience, and flexibility to work across all functional areas.
- Substantial experience that highlights strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Exceptional and demonstrated stakeholder management, influencing, and partnering skills.
- Demonstrable experience in the development of team performance
- Forecasting, planning and resource management experience, including budget management.
- Solid experience and knowledge in setting strategy, planning and leading strategic and business change.
