OverviewAn exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network as a Inpatient & RACF
Resident/Registrar within the Strathalbyn District Health Service.With the support of a Senior Medical Professional, you will be responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to you in the ward and the residential aged care facility at Strathalbyn District Health Service. Working in collaboration with the responsible medical staff, nurses and allied health professionals, you will ensure that a comprehensive, effective and efficient emergency and medical service is provided within the accepted standards of practice. As part of your role, you will be involved in continuing education activities and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Strathalbyn and District Health Service provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults and children by local general practitioners to specialist surgical, outpatients and aged care beds. Strathalbyn and District Health Service incorporates a public hospital, residential aged care and a day care centre to meet the needs of a growing community.You will hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification, and be fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA). Demonstrating inpatient and/or aged care experience in a clinical capacity, you will have sound knowledge and understanding of investigations and treatments appropriate to the level of this position. You will bring the ability to work as a team member and individually, utilising your skills in professional judgement, clinical competence, negotiation and communication within a multidisciplinary setting.Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.Check(s)
