Future Dairies Gippsland is a leader in the milk harvesting industry, specialising in installing and servicing robotic and conventional GEA milking equipment. Servicing the Gippsland region and based in Maffra it offers a range of consumables for dairy farmers and other installations including teat wands, feed systems, and effluent equipment.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service and Installation Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Installing and servicing GEA robotic, WestfaliaSurge, Milfos and Mueller milking equipment
- Installing and servicing GEA cooling equipment
- Fabrication of milk harvesting equipment (stainless welding skills an advantage)
- Installing and servicing new feed systems
- Shed testing and servicing of all milking machine equipment
- Provide technical support to our customer base
The successful applicant will be a qualified tradesperson holding a minimum Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or Mechanical Trade. They will have good people skills, be willing to work in a team environment as well as having the ability to work unsupervised. A current manual Victorian drivers license is required and forklift license is preferred. Good mechanical knowledge with hands on capabilities is essential as is a good understanding of computers. The position is for 40 hours over a five day week, and it supports an after-hours breakdown service on a weekly rotating roster, approximately every four weeks.
