The Role
Kellogg Brown and Root Pty Ltd (KBR) are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic individuals looking to further their career in instructional design and content development within the training industry. KBR is a leading service provider delivering solutions to the Government & Defence sectors for the last 20 years. We are specialists in the design and delivery of leading-edge training solutions, systems engineering, systems and enterprise architecture, project management, and integrated logistic support.
The role is a full-time permanent position supporting a variety of Defence and Government Training Projects and Programs, with the position offering flexible working options including remote working.
The successful applicant will be capable of providing instructional design and content development capabilities to the team, as well as having the ability to research, recommend and implement new training technologies to training.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you will be able to:
- Develop, or coordinate a team to develop, a range of training materials using training technologies, which may include eLearning modules, simulations or virtual reality
- Design eLearning and other training modules including developing storyboards and conducting testing
- Manage content/document review cycles with stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Participate in quality assurance reviews of training deliverables
- Provide innovative training design and development ideas to contribute to improvements in training outcomes
- Conduct research and provide recommendations regarding the application of new technologies to training
- Conduct the administration requirements of a Learning Management System
- Assist in the development of skills and capability within the team
- Foster a positive relationship with our client and the KBR team that is focused on contemporary learning solutions
Requirements
In order to meet the requirements of the role, you will possess:
- 3+ years in a learning and development environment, including using and administering technologies in training
- Experience in Content Authoring Tools (Articulate Rise preferred)
- Experience in utilising and administering Learning Management Systems
- Experience in working with Defence (desirable)
- Qualifications in multimedia, instructional design or training development (or similar)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to produce high quality work within tight timeframes
- Currently hold or have the ability to obtain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance
