St Ursula's College Yeppoon is seeking to employ an Instrumental Music Tutor for Woodwind and Brass to join our Instrumental Music Team.
You will work on site one day per week, during school terms, tutoring students in both individual and group lessons. Music education is a vital ingredient for a holistic education. The Instrumental Music team is dedicated to providing students with a comprehensive and extensive Music program, encouraging them to join ensembles, sit practical and the theory exams, but also have the option of learning just for enjoyment. An understanding, appreciation and love of Music is something students can take with them throughout their lives.
As part of the Instrumental Music Team, your role will be to nurture this love of music from beginnings through to more experienced young musicians, enabling and encouraging them to achieve their own individual potential.
As an independent tutor, you will invoice student parents/carers the agreed rate for individual lessons or group lessons. The timetable rotates to ensure students do not miss the same lesson each week, and break times are at your discretion. During the year, you may be asked to do extra time to support students in performances, competitions or school functions, such as Arts Showcase, however, this is not compulsory.
