Join us as Field Service Technician for the Measurement & Analytics division in Process Automation Business Area where you will be maintaining, installing, and commissioning systems and/or products at customer sites in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines. Ensuring appropriate planning and availability of materials and equipment per contract requirements.Reporting to Field Service Manager and this position will be based in Notting Hill, Australia.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinating the preparation and control of all material, equipment and documentation needed for site activities, and organizing them in accordance with contractual and supplemental documentation
- Conducting detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and recommending changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
- Providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service. Ensuring the coordination with the customer for documentation required, safety coordination and planning
- Supervising service activities performed by external resources
- Performing on-site activities of maintenance and installation and commissioning according to contract requirements, applying safety health and safety ABB rules and taking in consideration the actual site conditions.
- Preparing all technical and work reports to be signed by customer representative. Refers to management for any clarification required during the service activities, and notifying the quality team of quality issues discovered
- Ensuring safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times including the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment
Your background
- Trade / degree qualified in an Electrical or Instrumentation field with current full Australian Electrical License
- Significant experience in Instrumentation
- Experience in both maintenance and projects related work in the industrial, mining or power distribution sectors
- Experience in Service within the Water & Wastewater industry, specifically with exposure to electromagnetic flowmeters.
- Good hold on SAP, CCRP and MS Office and AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Ability to provide technical support and training to a wide range of ABB customers and staff
