About the role:
TheIntegrated Family Services (IFS) Case Manager provides a range of interventions to vulnerable children, youth and families. Many of these families have long histories of involvement with child protection and community agencies, and require flexible and innovative interventions to address their needs to support their safety and wellbeing.
The IFS Case Manager will promote the safety and development of vulnerable children, young people and their families, along with building capacity and resilience for children, families and communities. Providing early intervention services, and practical assistance within a case management framework.
This position can be located in our Wodonga or Wangaratta offices.
Selection Criteria:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Behavioural Science, Social Science, Psychology and relevant demonstrated experience.
- Experience in the provision of support and service delivery to families, children and young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours, within a case management framework.
- Demonstrated experience in working with, and understanding of the developmental and therapeutic needs of children who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect.
- Proven ability to assess the needs of families, children and young people, to develop and implement appropriate plans in relation to those needs, to evaluate their effectiveness and to review and alter these plans in accordance with their changing needs.
