The Position

• The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer will perform logistic-engineering functions and activities to deliver ILS outcomes required under current and future acquisition and sustainment contracts. You will deliver logistic-engineering services and documentation to the Commonwealth and CEA internal customers including project managers, product support teams and bids & contracts.
• The position is responsible for planning and developing customer delivered ILS CDRL documentation, performing Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) activities, assisting the technical writing team with publication development and the training team with developing training strategies.

This role is responsible for:

• Working with Senior Project Engineers to develop company ILS / LSA strategies, procedures and work instructions; publishing guidance in the CEA Quality Management System where appropriate.
• Developing customer facing documentation, including acquisition and sustainment ILS Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) data items.
• Providing ILS subject matter expert advice and input to CEA tender responses, estimates and negotiation activities for new business activities.
• Representing CEA on ILS topics and matters during external customer engagements and internal meetings.
• Assisting the CEA Training Manager develop Sensor Operator & Sensor Maintainer training strategies, training specifications and learning management packages.
• Undertaking further logistics-engineering activities as directed within area of practice and competence.

Essential

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering or logistics area of practise.
• Relevant logistics-engineering competencies, including analysis and documentation development.
• Five or more years' experience in an acquisition or sustainment organisation.
• Sound understanding of the project lifecycle, ILS standards and practices.
• Ability to anticipate problems in developing, integrating, maintaining and supporting complex systems.
• Ability to analyse and solve problems logically and proactively to meet deadlines.
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to interact with diverse groups and individuals.
• Ability to cope with organisational change and demonstrate a high level of personal drive and resilience.

Highly Desirable

• Ten or more years' experience in a Defence or Defence Industry acquisition or sustainment organisation.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, in particular quality review of documentation.
• Proficiency in Systecon OPUS10 spares optimisation software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this position you must be:

• An Australian Citizen
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance - Negative Vetting 1
