The opportunity
We are seeking a talented candidate for the role of Supply Chain Specialist to join the Chinook Integrated Support Services Team providing Supply Management Services in Enoggera to support the CH-47F aircraft.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for completing daily supply tasks in support of the CH-47F aircraft which will include but not limited to:
- Assist in the management of assigned items of supply such as breakdown spares and repairable items
- Inventory assessment by conducting stock analysis to define reorder points and quantities
- Enter, track, monitor and coordinate customer material and delivery requirements and customer orders
- Process material returned from customers
- Identify supply chain alternatives to resolve issues and discrepancies
- Supply management planning
- Supply support performance reviews
Experience/Qualifications
Must Have
- Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS), skills, experience and knowledge
- Advanced Inventory Management System (AIMS) Spares & Repairs
- Purchasing experience or Simple Procurement qualification
- Baseline security clearance
Desirable
- Previous experience in Integrated Logistic fundamentals, such as conducting stock analysis, forecasting requirements and usage assessments, RI (Repairable) and non-RI management within the Defence environment.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, establishing and promoting supply process improvements at the project level.
- Understanding of airworthiness standards
- Disposals experience
- Stocktaking experience
- Competent in the use of PC, MS Windows and MS Office suite
- Aircraft supply support services knowledge, skills and experience
- Ability to work successfully unsupervised and in a team environment
- High level of written and oral communication and negotiation skills to facilitate open interaction between customer support teams, repair agencies and key internal and external stakeholders
